Virgin Limited Edition is Sir Richard Branson’s collection of luxury retreats, consisting of a private island, mountain retreat, game reserve, catamaran, lodge, tented camp, vineyard, restaurant, and a private members club.

Opiyo were challenged with driving enquiries and bookings, with a strong focus on return on investment and cost per lead, through paid search campaigns – text ads, display ads, re-marketing and video ads.

Opiyo has also been tasked with targeting Virgin Limited Edition’s local markets across the world, through social media advertising.

what we did.

Having managed the Virgin Limited Edition paid search activity since 2013, we have built up highly optimised Google AdWords campaigns and evolved reporting methods, whilst helping the brand to improve their search engine rankings. In 2015, we planned and implemented various Facebook campaigns, targeted local audiences with offers for the various hotels and retreats around the world, as well as for events at The Roof Gardens, in Kensington.



the results.

Having increased conversions from paid search by 29% y-o-y, Opiyo continue to optimise campaigns – improving ad click-through rates, campaign value and return on investment, through increasing enquiries and bookings. Facebook ad campaigns generated an excellent return on investment from a highly targeted audience – whilst achieving ad click-through rates of 6x the average across Facebook’s advertising network. Facebook page likes for one of the South African properties also doubled as a result of an engaging campaign, at zero cost.
